Rock Flathead
(Thysanophrys cirronasus)
(Thysanophrys cirronasus)
The Rock Flathead (Thysanophrys cirronasus) of the family Platycephalidae is colourful fish with big eyes and a large head. It is not very common to see in Sydney but this could be because it hides in the sand to ambush its prey much like other flatheads.
